130 W USB Type-C AC Adapter

I have the 130 W USB Type-C power adapter. It is "shorting out" at the integrated flexible joint. The design/position/direction of the flexible joint places a strain on the cable. I have never seen other AC adapters designed this way. Why would there be a one-year warranty on an AC Adapter? This is a design defect.

Just a quick update (conclusion) on the AC adapter concern. After expressing my dissatisfaction with the longevity and design of the AC adapter, Dell Support offered to escalate my concern and they were true to their word. I received a telephone call from Dell and was given the opportunity to explain my concern(s). Dell Support was empathetic and agreed to replace the AC adapter. However, the AC adapter concern is far less important than Dell’s sincere interest in customer satisfaction. This is important as post-sales and namely, post-warranty support defines a company. Although, no company is perfect, Dell shined when it was most important.

The adapter carries the system warranty -- if you chose one year, that's the length of coverage.
