XPS T750r, problems
ok. i am able to boot into xp for most part. i have a 3com ethernet card, and the status is good. internet connection, but i when i open browser, i cannot download anything. i have rebooted modem, router, and still no go. i dont get it. the 3com card is working but i still cannot get on internet?
also, my optical drives show up missing sometimes. i dont get that either.

Anything running XP has a browser so outdated most websites will reject its connection. There's no version of Windows this system will run that's even remotely secure enough to be using online.
Recycle and replace the system.

That doesn't have anything to do with the issue, other than that if you have refund privileges, you should exercise them.
This system isn't worth more than whatever metal scrap sells for in your area -- it's on the order of 25 years old.

thks ejn63...i got windows xp working, and keyboard , mouse , and dvd optic drive working....the dvd drive was jumper settting that was in wrong setting...i finally got a browser to work, older version of mozilla....most of the new ones require see2 instuction, whick pentium 3,s apparently dont support...i am going to install all the secuity software i have....i will not be doing any banking, etc...just surfing....internet is wired....i can show my friends this was my first computer in 1998, everything about this computer is exactly as what had bought..so happy...sort of a historical piece for me...i know its not worth anything, but some day, it may be special , since its so old...

i dont think i will be able to run xp on this machine....it seems like everything u download requires see2 instruction....i keep getting internet connection unsecure....i may have to go to linux
