XPS 8960, turn off ok, restart stuck at Dell logo
Hello.
I had never used the “restart” feature as one of the power down options on this current machine. It works fine if I just use the power down option. The next time I turn on the switch, it powers on fine, although there are two strange things. It is always the same startup screen (camels) and a few of my applications shortcuts use the default icon for *.exe. I am worried about if it needs to update, what do I do? Do I need to go through all that mentioned about safe mode, system repair, recovery, restore points etc.? Thanks in advance.

So if anyone is wondering, I changed the BIOS setting from “Raid” to “PCI/NVME” so I reinstalled the OS before restoring the bios and everything is fine noq.

Too late now but, you could have changed BIOS from RAID to SATA/NVME without having to reinstall Windows and all your apps, etc...
