XPS 8960, replaced almost everything, still freezing and crashing
This issue has been happening for over a year now. Freezing for a minute or two and about 10% of the time it ends up crashing.
I updated the BIOS for the Intel CPU Fix. It didn't help.
Dell sent a technician to replace the CPU last year. It didn't help.
I swapped memory and used one stick at a time thinking one might be bad. It happens on both.
I replaced the SSD and reinstalled Windows. It didn't help.
Last week I tried a bigger PSU just hoping that would fix it. It did not.
Currently on the latest BIOS, tried latest drivers, old drivers, RAID, AHCI, unplugged everything from the PC, clean boot up, etc.
Outside of replacing the GPU and Motherboard I'm out of ideas.
It seems like the CPU issue but unless the Dell tech installed a used one or lied about installing it, I don't know why that wouldn't have fixed it. At this point I'd underclock the CPU just to have stability but the BIOS offers no options aside from messing with individual cores. Process Lasso seems to make it slightly more stable but hard to say for sure.
At any rate. I think I'm done with Dell for a while. This was a huge waste of time and money. I'm out of warranty and patience.

I have experienced similar issues. So have many other Dell owners of this desktop pc.
