XPS 8960, randomly power cycles
I have a Dell XPS 8960 (i7-12700) with a RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and U3223QE monitor. Since delivery last year it randomly power cycles without warning, maybe 4-5 times a week. Everything is running normally, then you hear a 'tick' sound, the screen goes blank and the desktop reboots. I believe everything is up to date. I do not do gaming, just normal office tasks. The graphics card fans hardly ever come on. The ventillation grills are clear and unobstructed. This is very frustrating, especially if you are in the middle of some work. Can anyone think of what may be the problem?

Possible PSU issue?
Possible (GPU) overheating?
Look in Windows Event Viewer to see if an error message gets logged around the time of a crash.
If still under warranty, contact Dell Tech Support for assistance...

As described by RoHe above the power supply might be an issue but another consideration as it only occurs like once a day is the AC power at your location may be having glitching problems. See if another PC is affected. Are the 4 or 5 times spread out like 1 or 2 days appart or are they occuring in a short period of time. If it is outside AC problems you might want to get a filtering power strip to isolate the AC power and clean it up. If that is not the case see if the cooling fans are working properly. You can download the free application Crystal Disk standard edition which will tell you the temperature of all the chips and drives that might be responsible. good luck.
