XPS 8960, panels rattle

I have the same problem with mine. Air cooled. And the panels rattle. Very annoying. I'm about 5 months in and I've had the cover off at least 20 times stuffing foam here and there to stop the rattles. First it was the hard drive enclosures on the right side rattling. That one took a bit of messing around to fix. Then it was the left side cover. Just tightened all the tabs and hopefully that helps that one. The left side is the worst. Not much you can do about that one. Oh and the AIR cooler stinks too. I took that off and tightened all the fins so that they stopped rattling too. Really the fan on the CPU air cooler seems to be slightly (ever so slightly) out of balance and that is the cause for it rattling.

Worse case, I will rip the thing apart, and spray some spray foam in between the frame the left cover. I hear everything, so any rattle drives me nuts.

My old dell XPS from 2010ish was awesome! This one (XS 8960), I would pass on now. I'll never buy another XPS. I'll just build one next time. And don't even get me started about Windows 11. Worst OS on the planet. Might swap in a new M.2 drive with Windows 10 and see if it's better. Windows 11 is horrific.

Have you contacted Dell Tech Support, for assistance, and possible CPU fan replacement?

Be careful using that spray foam. Some of them are flammable, and their solvents might damage electronic components if you over-spray...

Just fixed this on mine. For me it was the front bezel, get a roll of this and cut into small squares https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VFB7QVF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Put it on the standoffs making contact with the frame like this.
