XPS 8960, issues Crucial Portable SSD USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C SSD to rear USB-C 2x2
My Crucial X10 Pro 4TB Portable SSD USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C Solid State Drive (which I use to store 25,000 phootos) keeps dropping the connection and reconnecting when connected to the rear USB-C 2x2 port on my XPS 8960. I keep getting a message in Lightroom Classic to start a new import, which means the SSD has dropped the connection and then wants to reconnect. Also in LRC, using the rear port LRC loses connectivity to the folders containing the photos. None of these problems occur when I use the slower USB-C 2 port on the front of the computer. Is this a known problem with the rear port on the 8960, and is there anything that I can do to fix this?

I have concluded that the problem is with the Crucial X10 and not with the rear 2x2 USB-C port on the XPS 8960. I purchased a Samsung T9 and moved all my photos (over 31,000) to the T9 using Lightroom Classic. I have had no connectivity problems whatsoever and am getting R/W speeds of over 1600 MBs.
