XPS 8960, Intel i7-14700, upgrade to an Intel i9-13900 5.60 GHz processor?
I have a Dell XPS 8960 Desktop with Processor Intel Core i7-14700.
My important question is, can I upgrade my actual processor Intel Core i7-14700 to an Intel Core i9-13900 5.60 GHz Processor?

The system supports both 13th and 14th gen CPUs so it should work fine.

@ejn63 Thank you for the information, I appreciate it.
I have some more questions regarding this CPU upgrade.
1)-Do I also have to upgrade de CPU cooling fan for the Intel® Core™ i9-13900 5.60 GHz Processor?
2)-Do I also have to upgrade the power supply?

The processors have the same power specification, so the PS should be sufficient as is. I suspect the same is true for the CPU cooler.

Just be aware an i9 (13th or 14th Gen) can generate a LOT of heat if you push it.
I would just say make sure the cooler can handle it.

That's why I'm asking if I need to install a special cooling fan for the Intel Core i9-13900 5.60 GHz Processor, and which model of cooling should I buy?

@clintonsnow
IIRC, the stock cooler is not up to dealing with an i9.
There are choices, both water and air options and maybe somebody else has that handy or it's already in these forums.
