XPS 8960, GPU LED off?

Hi,

I recently got a XPS 8960 desktop and I was wondering if I could turn off the LED on the GPU? I've read there's a setting somewhere in the driver settings but I can't find it?

Thanks

Before our users can assist, be more specific by posting a picture of the LED in question.

It's a huge white lit up name that's shines out of the side air vent.

Thanks

Is that an NVidia or AMD GPU?  And exactly which one?

Either way, have you looked in the corresponding control panel for the GPU?

It's a Nvidia RTX 4080, and yes I've tried looking in the control panel for it but I can't find a setting for it?

Thanks

Seems to be a common question around the net...

Some say it can be done using the GeForce Experience app, but apparently the app can't do it for all RTX GPUs. Give it a try and let us know if that works with the RTX 4080...

That's the problem though, I can't even find the option to try it?

Thanks

You looked in latest version of GeForce Experience, not the NVidia Control Panel?

I guess it's possible the Dell OEM RTX 4080 doesn't have the capability to control its LEDs...

not sure if you figured it out, mine stays on even when in sleep mode, not sure if this is normal or not, I have a 4060.

I have the same problem, and I have not found a solution. I have an RTX 4080 with an XPS 8960. This is a pretty stupid oversight by Dell / NVIDIA if there is no way to turn it off.

The GeForce Experience LED Visualizer to control the illuminated text was only designed by Nvidia for GTX video cards. Nvidia never released a newer LED Visualizer for RTX video cards.
