XPS 8960, GeForce 4070, gpu light always on and other power issues
Purchased an XPS 8960 in December 2024. When I plug the pc into the outlet the graphics card lights up and the fan spins for about 3 seconds. This is just from plugging it into the wall which should not happen.
When you put the pc in sleep mode , the GPU geforce light stays lite and every once in a while the fan will spin up for a second and stop.
When the pc is shutdown the GPU geforce light will stay on. Randomly the light will go out but you will hear the fan spin up for a second every once and awhile. Sometimes the light on the GPU will come back on.
When the computer is asleep or shutdown the pc power indicator light ( white light ) is not on.
This is the issue i'm having and this is what has happened do far.
PC sent to dell depot in Texas and had the motherboard changed. Came back with all the same problems.
PC sent to dell depot in Texas again and had an inverter changed. Came back with the all the same problems.
Dell sent a tech to my home who changed the GPU. All the same problems, tech told me to call dell.
Now I call in to Dell today and Im told its all normal. So the issue was enough to have the pc sent to the depot twice and a tech come to my home. Can't get resolved so now I'm told its normal?
I'm stuck and need some help.
