XPS 8960, appalled by lack of solution/communication
I bought a new XPS 8960 in November 2023. My first issue was audio, but I fixed that with a reset. For the past month or two, I have been suffering from blue screens and crashing games (not even demanding games, to be honest), and for a PC with an Nvidia 4080 and an Intel i9, it's garbage.
I've had to contact Dell Tech Support three times. They've all tried their best, and on the last part, I was left with a "Going to talk to my product expert. Let us know if you have any questions." I asked them if they needed anything like my Reliability History or Event Viewer, but they did not reply. I asked them when they would be able to give me an update. No reply.
Considering I spent over £1k for this, it's shocking, and to top it off with no communication and a "We can't fix this, we will get back to you." with no getting back, it is starting to drain my patience. I haven't even had it for six months, and all I can say is that this is a very off-putting experience, and I don't think I will be purchasing anything from Dell again, including forewarning others to buy at this rate. I am within warranty, and I would like a solution. My PC has now decided to power down randomly.
I want someone to handle this situation, please, as I am within warranty. If people start dragging their feet, then I suppose I will have to seek help through other means.
"Regardless of your company status, sole trader, company, partnership etc, you must honour the consumer's rights in your terms and conditions and your dealings with customers." And that's just the start.

When you get a BOSD, What does the error come up with? When it does it in the lower left corner it would have said what the issue is. If you don't have that. You can Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files. (nirsoft.net) and post a screenshot of the output here.
For the games crashing please check your Event Viewer it should tell you under application what crashed and why it crashed. Just look at the red stop sign ones and anything that has your game or app's name in it take a look. Feel free to post it here too.
Also, how was your PC configured? With Liquid or Dell Tower cooler or pancake cooler, an i9 heats up a lot, just wanna check to make sure it's not a Thermal issue. Water Cooling on the i9 in the best way to go.

When my blue screens happened less than 30 seconds apart before the tech support did a reset with a new installation of windows, which still hasn't worked, btw, it was kernels.
With the new reset, the page was not found; however, yesterday, I decided to open Spotify to listen to some music while playing a game, and the PC just shut down and restarted, but no blue screen popped up. That was yesterday.
My PC struggles to download and install anything. For example, in Windows updates, I turned on my PC about two hours ago, and it is still at 0% installation of an update in the Windows section of updates.
My PC had a fresh install of Windows 11, so I don't even have the typical Dell Update. My Support Assist doesn't even load half the time.
The tech support guy couldn't even get Nvidia's latest download to work, but after my persistence, after a few days, I managed to get it to work.
My PC doesn't overheat. I have used software to check that, and the general temperature is fine. If my PC is overheating, even if it's not, then that's just <Profanity is never allowed on our Forum. DELL-Admin>. Why would I spend a lot of money on something that doesn't even let me use it?
My PC is already unfit for purpose, and if that were an issue, it would be even more so. Dell shouldn't be selling PCs if it has that problem with things so simple.
I also have no idea how the cooling was configured as I bought the Desktop from Dell, so I just presume whatever they put in it.

Try downloading and installing the Intel drivers from here: Intel® Driver & Support Assistant
Kernel Power 41 can be a driver a firmware issue, or a cable attached to the motherboard isn't connected all the way. I had that issue before when one of the motherboard cables was not fully attached to the power spot and would cut out, you can open the side panel with the PC turned off and just press down on all the cables and make sure they are connected. Or I would just ask Dell to send an on-site tech to check them for you.
Also, make sure you are running the latest firmware as well. IF you don't have a lot on your PC, you could always do a factory re-install and keep nothing to see if that works.

@JamieLinux There is one Intel driver on there, but everytime I try to install something it just says the file is corrupt.
I don't know if I feel comfortable opening the panel, and I don't know what anything looks like on the inside. It would be nice if Dell was to do something, but they are ignoring me instead. All I have done is be nice and patient with them, but they just don't really seem to care at this point honestly

@JamieLinux Oh and I forgot to say that factory resets don't do anything to help any of the issues, done that about five times now and once even with a fresh windows install

@savvii are you connected to the internet through WiFi or Ethernet cable? Run a speed test to check your download speed.

with the killer wireless, yeah sorry you need to uninstall the DELL version to install the Intel factory version.
