XPS 8950, RTX 3060 Ti, S2722QC AMD FreeSync on HDMI?
I have ordered a 4K UHD USB-C Monitor - S2722QC. This will be connected to my XPS 8950 desktop with RTX 3060 ti. While I don't do any gaming, I do watch HD/4K content and also some video editing. Is the AMD freesync going to be a problem given I'll have to connect via HDMI? I will be using the monitor's usb-c for my laptop so that port won't be available to use as alt display port.
Thanks for any insight.

Free-sync works over HDMI.
Monitor specs say "Supports AMD FreeSync, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a rapid response time of 4 ms gray to gray in Extreme mode", but doesn't specifically mention using HDMI with NVidia cards.
The monitor specs do say "NOTE: When PIP/PBP is activated, AMD FreeSync (in AMD Radeon software) is disabled

It all comes down to any limitations of this Dell LCD which is IPS.
Although it might be a great IPS monitor, HDR is not going to be great but make sure you check out these settings on your 3060TI.
Edit: It seems like this LCD actually does better in HDR mode so make sure you get the Win11 HDR calibration set.

BTW, HDR...it's so worth it!
