XPS 8950, non-removable SSD
I purchased a Dell XPS 8950 in 2022 and I installed a Linux system on it. Now I want to upgrade my system. It was my understanding that the internal SSD could be removed and swapped with another drive to make upgrades easier. You put a non-removable SSD (an NVMe) in the machine and now I am going to be putting my system at risk when I do an upgrade. I am VERY dis-satisfied with this hard-wired SSD. I bought a desktop so I could swap parts and make changes but you have made that very difficult. Not happy.

The drive is easily removed with a standard small Phillips screwdriver.

And just to add, the same thing applies if you have an M.2 NVME 2280 SSD in this XPS 8950...

Buy a Samsung 990Pro and never look back!
My 8950 loves it!
