XPS 8950, Intel Killer 1675x WiFi 6 replacement

Experienced PC builder here. Dell XPS 8950 Desktop

I'd like to replace the WiFi 6, Intel Killer 1675x card with the Intel Killer WiFi 7 BE1750x card.

Has anyone upgraded their XPS 8950 from WiF i6 to WiFi 7?

Yes, you can upgrade your XPS 8950 to WiFi 7.  Dell has provided network drivers for BE200/BE202 as well.

I upgraded my 8940 from the Intel 1650i, to the Intel BE200 (WiFi 7). The BE200 is NOT a Killer card, while the BE1675x is, but you 'might' still need the Killer S/W for the network Adapter.

You still need to have a Wi-Fi 7 router, and it appears, running Windows 24H2 with has WiFi 7 support.

I had been using the older prior Windows 'version' with the BE200 and the MLO band didn't work well. Once 24H2 version was installed it worked OK.

I never found the Killer S/W been something I used. Many have even removed the s./w, and the network adapters work fine. If you don't use the Killer s/w, then get the BE200, it is cheaper.

Dell's driver posting are the same as you would get from Intel, just that Dell TESTED them and if you make a network support call they need those drivers on the PC. Intel releases quite a few updates as well that Dell does NOT post.

On my BE200 I am running the driver that Intel released on 1/2/2025. They had been releasing BE drivers every few weeks, I use Intel's Driver and Support App and it checks daily for new drivers and I can get the new one immediately.
