XPS 8950 Bezels ... Only Cosmetic?
1- Do I understand correctly that the term 'bezel' refers to the front of the case, and specifically the part above the grill?
2- Some bezels have an optical drive, some don't. Aside from that, are the differences between bezels (like Night Sky and Platinum Silver) purely cosmetic - just for looks?

The bezel is the entire front of the PC as shown in this eBay listing. And yes it is basically a cosmetic look.

Platinum Silver case has legs under it while Night Sky doesn't, which probably makes a difference in the height of the tower, if that matters to you...
Platinum Silver Night Sky
Night Sky systems are apparently only offered with a 460W PSU, while Platinum Silver systems cost $30 more for the case, and can come with either a 460W PSU or an optional 750W PSU for an additional $50 ($80 extra for silver+750W PSU). And the optional optical drive adds another $50 on top of that...
