XPS 8940, upgrading the PSU, advice for 750W

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a Dell XPS 8940 that I use mainly for 3D animation, and it’s been fantastic for the most part. However, I’m looking to upgrade my GPU to handle more intense workloads, which means I’ll definitely need more power. I’ve been reading around, and apparently, getting a PSU upgrade to 750W (or anything above Dell’s standard 500W) is pretty tricky for this model because of the limited size and proprietary connections Dell uses.

I have an EU-based Dell XPS model, and there appears to be some empty room next to the Dell proprietary 500W PSU in there. I don't mind using adapters, as long as the new PSU fits well and works well.

Has anyone here had success with upgrading to a 750W PSU in the XPS 8940? I’m particularly looking for recommendations on brands or specific models that fit, as I know size and compatibility with the case can be major challenges.
