XPS 8940, possible configurations for RAM?
XPS 8940
Hi.
I have 2 x 8Gb DDR4 in my XPS 8940, and have bought 2 x new 16Gb DDR4.
What are the possible configurations for RAM in the 4 slots available?

As per the Dell specs found here, 48GB is not a supported memory configuration but that does not mean it may not work. If you find you have trouble then you may have to go with 32Gb and upgrade to another 32GB for a total of 64 ( 128GB is the maximum supported total). If you are going to install 48Gb then I would suggest making sure you have the RAM in complimentary slots meaning white with white then black with black (e.g. 8GB in black and 16GB in white).
