XPS 8940, need help updates on Windows 11 21H2
I have XPS 8940 with Windows 11 21H2 installed. Trying to understand a way to update Windows? Normal update is no good. Tried downloading iso to d:
c: indicates 116GB free of 473GB
when I run setup.exe from the iso on d with windows explorer
error message is
we can't tell if your pc has enough space to continue installing windows 11
and I am stuck.
Any ideas?
thanks

Windows UPDATE should do that, have you checked the Settings for Windows Update?
Also, not sure what you mean by 'normal update' is no good. Quite possibly you do NOT have enough Free Space on C: to allow the update to unpack the files, install some stuff and then reboot to use those files on C:?
In that case, you need to probably get a DVD/CD you can burn the ISO to and then boot from that (use F12).
This link should also help you ==> https://www.windowscentral.com/software-apps/windows-11/how-to-force-the-windows-11-2024-update-version-24h2-on-your-computer
I'd use the Media Creation Tool to do it. You can also see how to do it via the ISO file there as well.
However, if you don't have about 20GB's of free space on C: it could be a problem.

Hi
Have you installed all the updates from...

The space issue? Well I got that on a laptop that already had W11 installed, so I ignored it.
There is the windows update catalog.
