XPS 8940, i7-10700, Nvidia 3060 Ti, 7 days no freeze, simple change

Question

My XPS 8940 has now run continuously for 7 days (24hrs/day) without freezing by making a simply change!

This was suggested by someone else on this board and it worked for my XPS 8940 =

Open Nvidia Control Panel

Open "Manage 3D settings"

Open "Power management mode"

Change to "Prefer Max Performance"

Yes this is an ongoing with their latest BIOS update and Non Dell nvidia driver.

Above solution fixes the issue.

Alternatively you can downloaded Dell NVIDIA driver which will also fix the issue. (Perform a clean install)

I also have an XPS 8940, and I assume your initial problem was random (but almost daily) system freezes.

I changed the power mgmt settings in the NVIDIA control panel as above.

Hoping that'll solve my problem as well...
