XPS 8940, component and issues

I bought this in December 26 2022 and this is not worth the money. firstly, this pc comes with 217gb of ssd! 217gb for a £800 pc are you kidding me 8gb of ram! The pc bios as well does not let you overlock ram xmp doesn’t work on this pc. if you buy ram that isnt dell it only clocks at 2666mhz. all the components inside my computer are wonky the case is hard to put on there is barely any airflow causing it to overheat and turn off.

Uhh, the 8940 was released in 2020. Dell was NOT selling this in even late 2021 when the 8950's came out.

Did you buy this from Dell or a 3rd party?

I recall the smallest bootable SSD was 512GB's (could have been different in other countries?). 16GB standard I think as well? Not sure how you determined the disk size to be 217GB's?

Dell RAM never had XMP support.

Speed of RAM, The computer is shipped with 3200 MHz memory. However, with Intel Core i3/i5 processors, it is limited to 2666 MHz. With Intel Core i7/i9 processors, it is limited to 2933 MHz.

Probably a 256-GB SSD, so 217 GB could be what's available for C: after "over-provisioning", non-OS partitions etc.
