XPS 8930, RAM upgrade to 4x16GB Corsair Vengeance?

I have Dell desktop XPS 8930 with 4x8GB and would like to go to 4x16GB. I bought the 4x16GB Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz but the computer did not boot up? Can my XPS 8930 take up to 64GB max? Thanks

Dell cannot speak to non-tested 3rd party memory.

* Go to the top of this XPS Desktops board
* Open, "FAQ XPS Desktops"
* Open, "FAQ XPS 8930"

It shows the 4x16GB is validated =
64GB = (CPU) Black 16GB, White 16GB, Black 16GB, White 16GB

But only using the Dell validated OEM memory =

TP9W1 16GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, 2RX8, 8G, 1Gx72, 8K, 288 pin, Dual Rank, Unbuffered, 1.2v, Non-ECC
Hynix HMA82GU6CJR8N-VK
Micron MTA16ATF2G64AZ-2G6E1
Micron MTA16ATF2G64AZ-2G6H1
Samsung M378A2K43CB1-CTD

@hpfish10 The max. memory speed of your Dell is 2666 MHz, but since Dell only recognizes SPD speed, your Corsair memory may have an SPD speed of 2133 MHz and a rated XMP speed of 2666 MHz. You have to check the specs of your memory. Since you cannot set XMP in the BIOS that will be a problem but I am sure it should prevent your system from booting. The most likely issue is that the memory you have is just not compatible. When purchasing memory for your Dell make sure the spec. says the SPD speed is 2666 MHz.

Thank you all for your help.   I resolved the problem by doing CMOS reset.
