XPS 8930, problems when trying to install an MSI/Nvidia RTX 3050 securely
XPS 8930
I selected the MSI GeForce RTX 3050 Ventus 2X XS 8G OC after checking the usual things that matter for actually installing in the 8930 tower PC (size of space, power draw, connectors) and all seems to be well except for one factor: the security of the card in the slot.
I am replacing a Dell/Nvidia GTX 1650 card which is fairly short (half-length) and light but the MSI card, though it will fit, is longer and heavier. There is a 'long graphics card bracket' that Dell use, though it doesn't seem to be available to buy now, at least not here in the UK, but there is one on Amazon from another source. I am seriously worried that the MSI card will start to sag and create intermittant faults in the future.
Has anyone else fitted this, or a similar card into an XPS 8930 without support and have you had any trouble?
I should add that I am always dubious about the secureness of cards that are not secured by screws, but I am somewhat old-fashioned.

If you are having trouble sourcing the OEM bracket, you may try universal anti sag bracket on Amazon
