XPS 8930, new HDD, now can't access BIOS
XPS 8930
In recently installed a new HDD (Dell 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gbps 3.5in Hard Drive). I used DiskGenius to clone the old 220GB drive, and EASUS to extend the partition. Now, my system (WIN11) does not recognize the new drive as primary and I can't access the BIOS - tried every which way but the Dell logo doesn't always appear and when it does, hitting F12 either causes it to lock up or it ignores the command.

Have you tried using F2 to access the BIOS? If you disconnect the drive are you then able to access the BIOS? Have you tried booting from the original HDD?

I did try booting from F2 - same results. I disabled the original drive in a effort to correct the BIOS on the new drive, which didn't work. I had no issues botting from the original drive. Should I restore the original drive. Should I disconnect the new drive or just disable it in the system menu?

Would booting from the original drive allow mw to correct the BIOS issue with the new drive?

try replace cmos battery with a new one then clear cmos settings via motherboard jumper when F2 or F12 stops working due to corrupted cmos settings
