XPS 8930, network adapters require further installation

After a Windows update the Killer Gigabyte Ethernet and Qualcomm adapters quit working and the event log says further installation required. But I can't access the Internet to find drivers. I'm pretty much dead in the water. Please Help! I can't figure out how to replace a card (which card)?

anne_droid,

Thank you so much for your reply.  I was in such a panic yesterday, I overlooked posting enough detail.  I am running Windows 11 Pro.  The controller is Killer E2400 and the adapter QCA9377.  The controller is on the system board so it can't (practically) be upgraded.

Fortunately, I found a solution.  I disabled the device.  Once disabled I could connect Wireless with normal functionality.

I believe the moral of the story is I better start saving for a new desktop.

Once again, thank you!  Knowing there is help in community forums, like this, makes bad days better.

Hi

Can you download them on another device and use USB to transfer them?

  • Windows 10 may provide basic functionality for the Killer E2500/2600 with a generic driver.

Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth:
Windows 10 typically detects these adapters and will install a generic driver to enable basic wireless and Bluetooth functionality.

Prego.

Like I said driver support built into Windows.
