XPS 8930 Hard Drive Tray Caddy Bracket Fit Issue
I have three xps 8930s
The one currently a work in progress is slightly different then the other two xps 8930s.
The hard drive seated within the rubber caddy bracket will not fit into the hard drive slot however on
the other two 8930 models the caddy with harddrive fits as expected.
I can drop a harddrive without the bracket into the slot but the fit is such that there is no space for the caddy as with the other two models. Don't know what to do other than using cardboard inserted into the hard drive bays to hold the hard drive in place.

The bottom horizontal hdd cage in 8930 is called secondary cage in which a 3.5” hdd is mounted using 4 screws without a blue plastic caddy

the right upper vertical hdd cage in 8930 is called primary cage in which a 3.5” hdd is mounted in a Dell blue caddy then the whole thing slide into cage.
