XPS 8930, F_USB connector

Is there an F_USB connector available on the motherboard to connect to a PCIe WiFi 6 / Bluetooth 5.2 Adapter Card?

No, the only USB connections on the MB are for the USB 3 and a proprietary port on the MB for the front USB 2 connection. You would need an adapter card.

concur w JO

I look at high res pic of 8930 board.

Dell has removed any USB2.0 9 pin header from this oem board.  bummer.  prebuilt always harder to repurpose

@redxps630 Thanks for the photo and confirmation. Will have to look for a WiFi 6 only adapter solution as really don't need the Bluetooth 5.2.

Why not just replacing with an M.2 WiFi 6 or WiFi 6E wireless card.  M.2 Intel AX200 or AX210 should work fine and provides Bluetooth without the need for external USB2 power connection.

@Chino de Oro Was not aware the upgrade would work given I don't usually see any mention of generic drivers being available for these cards like there is for PCIe adapter cards. I will look into this though.

@Chino de Oro The current M.2 WiFi card installed on the motherboard does not have the Bluetooth capability. Although the motherboard connector would support the M.2 WiFi 6/6e wireless / Bluetooth card it is most likely not connected to the processor. It is not clear there would be a way to disable the M.2 Bluetooth function so that it does not cause system problems. This is the situation I ran into with the external PCIe WiFi 6e/Bluetooth 5.2 card. Since I was not able to connect the external Bluetooth 5.2 functionality and therefore did not load the drivers for it, at times after a reboot, the system would still recognize it and indicate there was a problem that needed to be resolved with the PCIe card. That was why I was looking for the external USB2 power connection even though I really wasn't installing the card for the Bluetooth 5.2 function.

Yes, it does.  The XPS 8930 that was shipped with M.2 Killer cards do have wireless and Bluetooth functions.  After replacing with an M.2 AX200 or AX210, you should get both of wireless and Bluetooth.

Replacing current M.2 wireless card with an AX200 should cause the least problem or none to your system comparing to any other upgrade plans and you will get faster performance wireless and Bluetooth.

@Chino de Oro Maybe some of the XPS 8930 motherboards has the M.2 Killer with Bluetooth but the one I have is the Dell DP8910 which has a different pinout then the M.2 Killer.

Sorry but there is no need to complicate yourself with issue that have not occur.  Your thread topic was for the goal of upgrading your XPS 8930 with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.  You have marked as solved and accepting that you will not need Bluetooth due to no USB2 power connector.  I just wanted to let you know that your system will support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth if you replace the onboard M.2 card with Intel AX200.

If you have doubt, just upgrade via PCIe slot as originally planned.

@Jay_Kay If you are thinking about a splitter than connects to the Mb then remember that the MB port is not a standard USB 2 port. I would think a USB card would be simpler.
