XPS 8930, CPU goes to 100%, screen goes black
It will happen randomly, the screen will go black and the fans will go to 100%. I have to manual reset with the power switch and then it will be fine. It will happen in the middle of a game, or when I'm on a website, it is totally and completely random. Power supply might be the issue, but I'm just not sure. 4080 with i9 cpu. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

try replace cmos battery w a new one on your XPS 8930 followed by clear cmos settings using CMOS CLR jumper.

While it's still barely working ... run a SMART Status test on (at least) your C-Drive SSD. Be sure it says it is good.
Now is also a good time to check the Reliability History report and see what (red) Critical Errors you might have been getting (might be a hint at what to look at later).
From BIOS Area, be sure computer passes the ePSA Testing 100% good.
If all that checks good ... Clean Install Windows-11 from scratch.
That 100% CPU problem is hard to fix. But if you do not have a Hardware Problem, this should fix it.
