XPS 8930, boot freeze
XPS8930 desktop - At startup I see the DELL logo, then the spinning circle, and after a few seconds it freezes. It does this every time. I can restart into safe mode and it runs fine. I've run all the tests that were given and all comes back ok. Any ideas welcome.

Re: spinning circle, and after a few seconds it freezes
it has failed to boot into Windows
try a clean Windows install
(you may need to back up data first)

@redxps630 I tried that. As it repairs windows it needs to restart several times but fails on the first reboot as I mentioned.

a repair is not the same as clean install. if you have no data to back up, prepare a Windows installation media USB on MS website. boot from USB. enter custom mode, delete all partitions on ssd or hdd, proceed

@redxps630 Thanks anyway. I was trying to avoid simply reinstalling windows and wiping everything. What bugs me is that it boots into safe mode fine.

Windows 10 repair is notoriously ineffective and very often goes into failure to repair mode, unfortunately.
