XPS 8700, upgrade to Windows 11?

I have a Dell XPS 8700, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 64 bit running Windows 10. Amazed at the lifespan of this guy, and the ease in opening it up to maintain it. So, I'm bummed about not being able to upgrade it to Windows 11. Before giving up, just wondering if there is any Windows 11 compatible CPU that can be used to easily replace the cpu in this machine?

P.S. I'm aware of the 'old technology' arguments against putting money into this machine, but reliability does count for something.

No, to a Windows 11 supported CPU on this model.  You can bypass the CPU requirements with your install, but there are no Windows 11 supported CPUs you can use with this system.

Thanks to both of you for confirming that there is no CPU replacement, and for the confirmation on the 'bypass' install of Windows 11. I had seen this and may do it, after I purchase a Windows 11 PC. Still trying to decide if I want to move the XPS over to Linux. I'm not so sure how 'secure' the Windows bypass install will be, and it might be fun to learn the Linux operating system all over again.

Thanks again.
