XPS 8700, motherboard replaced, BIOS A04
I just replaced the motherboard in my XPS 8700. I found the bios has not been updated at all. The current bios is A04, the original, I think? I think I need to update yet I am afraid of bricking this motherboard. Am I correct in being concerned about this? Also, while browsing the bios settings, I did not find any bios update options. Am I to assume that double clicking the executable bios file will launch the set up?

Yes, you are correct. Just double click on the BIOS file and the system will automatically restart to apply the new firmware BIOS.
