XPS 730X Windows XP 64 bit driver

Dell has almost never explicitly support Win XP 64 bit on its legacy XPS PC.

if you go on its driver site, it mentions XP and sometimes along Vista 32 bit, and the Dell XP verbiage appears to imply 32 bit.  I had tried the Dell XP driver on XP 64 bit install and they always fail.  There is obvious advantage of running XP 64 bit for larger memory support etc.

so the question is, can I use Win vista or 7 64 bit driver on a XP 64 OS?

I know XP is very different from Win 98, but I am guessing vista/7 64 bit architecture are not that different from XP?  Maybe retrograde compatibility is possible?  We shall see.
