XPS 730x, AlienFx media plug-in for Windows 11?

AlienFx works on non-Dell motherboard in Windows 11.

Dell has zero official instruction on how to make the driver work in Windows Vista or Windows 7, but I searched on the forum and get some idea from some old discussions. I want to see whether it works in Windows 11.

On Windows 11 (21H2) I test installed it.  Prerequisite is NET3.0
use Windows media player to play mp3 (not the default groove music player)

go to menu>other options>plug-in and choose AlienFx

when playing mp3, choose “visualization”>AlienFx

note the WMP has been around since Windows XP. MS has not yet removed it, a good thing.

in Win 11 21H2, it is still WMP

in Win 11 24H2, it is now WMP legacy.

These drivers were written in 2009-2010 for Windows Vista and 7.  It is a good thing that they still work in 2021-2025 on Windows 11.

The LEDs flash different color according to sound frequency of mp3.  there are 5 frequency windows.
