We Can't Tell If PC Has Enough Space to Install Windows 11
running a Dell 8940 desktop
have windows 11 21H2 installed
trying to update to current windows 11
message is ,,, We Can't Tell If PC Has Enough Space to Install Windows 11
but C: shows Free Space 246GB
any/all suggestions appreciated

It may not be the disc space, but the EFI partition space or the recovery drive space that's the issue.
You can try increasing those partition sizes with a partition manager or manually -- or doing a clean install of that version of Windows 11.

checking Disk Management shows
C: 473.62GB 246.80 free space NTFS healthy
graphically
Disk 0 partition 2 100mb Healthy EFI system partition
next on Disk 0 C: 473.62GB NTFS healthy
then there is 2.14 GB unallocated and then 974 MB
