Studio XPS 7100, SSD?
I'm keen to use an SSD alongside my HDD. The HDD would hold data and the SSD would run the programs. Current boot up is taking ages and I don't run high demand software. Can I install an SSD on the Dell OGK1K2 mb?

yes a 2.5" ssd would work for you
your motherboard is indeed 7100
