Seller advertised XPS 8960 but sent me a EBT 2250 - was it a bait & switch ?
Just received a Dell EBT 2250 from an Amazon seller who advertised an XPS 8960. Should I make a big deal out of it ? I've bought many Dells since 1997 and wanted to get the very last XPS model. But the seller sent a Tower Plus instead. I don't know whether to be ticked or thankful.
Am I overreacting ?

I check the configuration. RAM (and speed) amount, should be an Intel i7 Ultra 265 or better, video card ('stock' I think was Nvidia RTX4060 6GB), PSU size, and anything else that the supplied listed for the 8960.
If all compares, you did well. I assume you can verify it too with Dell that it does have support that you would get with a new EBT2250.
I assume it was new, not registered to someone else and 'used'?

That's the XPS replacement model, but it's really your call -- if you want the XPS, and can still find one (presumably new), return and order one.

EBT2250 is essentially XPS 8970. If cpu is same spec or better I would not be concerned.

@ispalten yes, apparently new based on Dell's feedback.
I sent it back and got a refund because I don't like being lied to, regardless of how good the new machine is. I expect to get what they advertise for sale because that's what I wanted.
