Returning the original SSD or a replacement SSD
Today I am getting a new xps 8950 computer which will replace my xps 8940 broken computer. I do not want to return the 9040 with the original SSD that has personal info on it. So I thought that I could just return it with a new onboard SSD that I have just purchased.
I am wondering if this would suit since the old computer has to have repairs done to it anyway?

Copy your personal stuff to another storage device and then use a secure delete program. My antivirus program has a secure delete function, as does CCleaner.

Dell will need the originally shipped drives (both SSD and HDD) back. Following ProfessorW00d advice, move the old drives to the replacement XPS 8950 as "storage" drives. Copy the data from the drives. Then format the drives. Then reinstall them back in the XPS 8940 and return to Dell.
