Mysterious Dell proprietary 5/6 pin connector

Question

This was asked by a few users before but a real answer and example was lacking. A proprietary 5/6 pin Dell psu power connector mainly seen in old Dimension desktop (discussion posted here on XPS board for no better place), but also seen in old Optiplex GX270 psu.

from an old manual schematic this connector is supposedly used to connect to an adapter to become a standard SATA 15 pin power connector.

@DELL-Chris M do you know the DP/N of 6 pin adapter cable for XPS 720 H2C?  My 720 has air cooler so it did not come with the 6 pin adapter for P14 proprietary connector.

@DELL-Chris M I think it is a white 6 pin Dell proprietary to black 6 pin mini sata connector for the gen 1 H2C of 720.

the psu connector is labelled P14. but has 6 pin.
