Dell XPS 8960 support 14XXX series CPU
Does the Dell XPS 8960 support the 14000 series Intel CPU? Not sure if there is a BIOS update but haven't purchased to try this yet.

No bios update yet or probably ever for 14th gen
last xps 8960 bios 10/6
14th gen cpu released 10/16.

Not sure why you would want to go to the trouble and expense to do this, since the improvement in performance is negligible.

With due respect, the computer in that link is not sold by Dell. Rather, it comes from Techno Intelligence and is sold through Amazon. Buyer beware!

Now that Dell.com is selling the XPS 8960 with 14th gen processors, can I upgrade my XPS 8960 with a 13th gen processor to a 14th gen processor?

Make sure you have latest versions of BIOS, chipset driver and ME driver before doing the swap.
Is it worth the cost for the differences?
