Dell XPS 8900 - i7 6700 - 3.40 Ghz

Can anyone recommend a fast PCIe network card for this machine, that supports at least 1 gig MBPS?

Thanks!

Do you mean to add to the gigabit Ethernet already onboard?

Just about any standard PCIe gigabit adapter will work.

Well, assuming you mean Wifi?

If so, there ARE a lot of cards out there, BUT some specifically call out Win11 only. Reason being, that speed is usually for WiFi 7 adapters, and the 24H2 W11 Update is needed to Support WiFi 7 completely.

However, if you Google this ---> "1gbps usb wifi 7 be adapter" you'll see plenty to look at (BE is the 802.11 standard for wifi speed at 1Gbps and higher).

Of course, you'll need a WiFi 7 router/Deco as well.

On my XPS8940 I removed the Dell M.2 AC wireless card and replaced it with an INTEL BE200 M.2 card, but I also had a Wifi 7 Deco already. 940Mbps is the max for 1Gbps down by the way, and it is hard to hit, generally around 900Mbps +/- is the normal speed.
