Bios of desktop vs laptop detecting NTFS bootable USB
XPS 8700 can detect UEFI:bootable USB in NTFS
but Dell latitude E7250/7270 laptop would not detect it. It can only detect UEFI: bootable USB in FAT.
it maybe different codes were written for the bios. The laptop one looks like older Optiplex 790 style with tabs on left pane and XPS 8700 has the more modern APTIO menu with tabs on top?

I think the Dell latitude E7250/7270 are a bit too old for a laptop. Laptop ages much more quickly than desktop.
one user said: most laptops I’ve seen produced in the last few years, especially Dell will now support booting from an NTFS-formatted drive in UEFI mode.
when I get a more recent Dell laptop I will test again
