Partition Sizes
Partition Sizes
Hey,
New to this forum so please move this thread to the most logical place. I'm looking for information about partition sizes when creating a Windows 7 image. Here is my environment:
WSM 3.6 running on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64
Reference Device - Z00L (909591-91L)
Streaming images to Zx0 devices
From what I *** about XP images, you have to specify sizes for the 3 partitions (OS, user profiles, drives). Is this also true for Windows 7? I cannot find any documentation or guide for setting this up. Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
B2

Windows 7 and XP images are treated the same way: you can have only one partition (which is the default) or split the vDisk in multiple partitions to separate user profile and the paging file from the system disk.
The WSM Sizing and Planning Guide has more information about the vDisks and is available from the support knowledgebase.

Thank you mhaase. I'll look for that guide right now.
