Z90 USB redirection, is it REALLY this difficult?

Z90 USB redirection, is it REALLY this difficult?

We are testing some Z90 devices. We run a windows server 2012 server with three Windows 8 VMs on it.

From the Z90, we RDP to one of the Win 8 VMs and login.

We want a USB device plugged into the Z90 to show up on the VM as a thumb drive.

We can't make that happen.

The Z90 has TCX and USB virtualizer 4.2 on it, but it just shows the device waiting on the remote session.

The VM host server has TCX server on it.

The settings in RDP specify that local drives should be connected, but still no USB drive.

Is it REALLY that difficult?

Someone please help me out here...

Thanks

The TCX server software needs to be installed inside each VM, not on the host server.

Additionally, with the RDP 8 client installed on your Z90 (available from the downloads page) you can get USB redirection natively as part of the RDP connection without TCX. More info here
