Solved - Disabled Write Filter, Unable to save desktop icons

Smile Solved - Disabled Write Filter, Unable to save desktop icons

Hey everyone,

I am having a few issues with a new Wyse Thin Client. I am new to setting these up and using Windows Embedded Standard (Service Pack 3). I am running a C90LEW.

I have disabled the Write Filter program, all changes save, except the icons on the desktop. I have tried adding the icons as every admin account available, (Domain and Local) and still nothing. I have tried making the user account an admin but the icons still will not save. Maybe I did something wrong or out of order during the setup process..

I know this sounds super crazy but I have never experienced this before and am baffled.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Let me know if I need to add anymore information. I am not exactly sure what everything you may need to answer this.

Thanks a Ton!

UPDATE: I have figured out the issue. I called an old coworker and he knew exactly what needed to happen. There is a file (NetXClean.ini) that is a notepad document. It actually controls the user profiles. I had to set the profile cleanup to False instead of True.
