Flash is corrupted

I cannot re-image a Z90D7 - the job simply sits in the scheduler and the client shows errors during boot.
"Error while uploading MBR file", "Flash is corrupted or improper repository/network configuration"

The image was captured from a functional client, so if there's a problem with the image then it's with WDM's process of importing.  If there's a problem with corrupted flash, then how is the client able to boot successfully with its current image, after the failed re-image?  This is brand new hardware, and literally the second attempt to image it.
