D90D7 Microphone

We have several D90D7 thin clients for our dispatchers.  The clients connect to 2008 terminal servers via the Citrix client.  If I connect to the terminal servers from a regular W7 PC using the Citrix client the microphones work fine but not from the Wyse boxes.  The mic is a USB mic/speaker combo.  Here is where it gets weird.  If I open the AudioRecording devices I see the Mic listed as the default device and I can see the recording level jump when I speak.  If I open the sound recorder and hit "record" it just records silence.  It looks to me like it might be some kind of security setting though I can't find it.
