updating XPE security patches with ftp and params.ini

Hi,

I have reading manuals and it says there that when using ftp on updating add-ons and patches it needs the .msi extensions of the installer. somoehow, i could not find any msi installer for the add-ons, but found a converter for exe to msi. could this work? and about params.ini, do you have a manual for the configuration?
