Unidentified Network and PXE

Unidentified Network and PXE

Hi....just joined this forum.

we have been using Wyse thin clients for a number of years now, albeit with limited user acceptance, but have only now begun to purchase mobile clients. We now have a number of X90CW laptops, which are dead cool , have Windows standard 7 Embedded and most importantly, our users love them...at last!!

However...! When brought home to be used on their own private wifi, they get "Unidentified Network" displayed when they attempt to connect to their wireless access points (which work fine for other laptops at home).

we think it has something to do with the default PXE boot process and that their WAPs wont issue a DHCP address because of this.

Is there any way of turning PXE off?

thanks

bob
