Total Newbie...Need help formatting a Wyse VX0 Winterm v90
Hey Everyone,
How do I go about getting this thin client back to factory default. I downloaded the Wyse USB Firmware tool and installed it. I downloaded the Windows XP file to put on the USB stick. But every time I try to format the USB stick and install the Win XP on it, I keep getting the error "USB device is not valid or is less than 1 gig"... I am using a 8 GB usb stick, I am running Windows Vista Home. I have tried everything I can find...even accidently blew away my external HDD cause I was trying to see if there was partitions on the USB stick........ouch..thank god for data recovery programs!!
Thanks to everyone in advance!
Not as Wyse as I thought I guess!!

Vista isn't supported with the USB tool. This error is because of Vista.
Run the tool on XP Pro or Windows 7, but right click and run as administrator with Windows 7... Or you can use the V90 to format the tool with the image. In other words put the image and the tool on a USB stick on the V90, then use the tool to format another USB drive with the image. Boot the USB tool on the V90...hold down the P key on boot up to get the boot menu. Choose Hard drive from the menu and a sub menu will open with your USB drive listed by name. Boot from the USB stick to re-image the unit.
