Scr3310 USB Smart Card Readers
Hello I am working with SCR3310 card readers with Wyse V30L, C30L and Dx0 model thin clients. Until recently I was also using Wyse V30 thin clients. I was able to use SCR3310 card reader with Win CE 5 and Wyse Thin OS. I have not been successful with Win CE 6 on the V30L or the C30L. I am using the most up to date on firmware and OS on these devices.
These devices are connecting to a Windows 2012 domain with 90 Meter software as the smart card middleware
If anyone has successfully used smart cards with Win CE 6 I would appreciate any input you may have.

Using Wyse C30LE Ver 6.0 Wyse WRF 4 Hotfix 1 Build 665 Win CE 6.0 RDP 6.0 connecting to Windows 2003 Terminal Server attempting to use a SCR3310 smart card reader, I have 90 Meter software installed. When using a ActiveIdentity CAC card the software see the reader and is aware when the card is removed. If does give an error that this is not the correct card reader. When using the SCR3310 reader it does not recognize the card or the card reader. I am aware that this reader uses a different voltage. I have also heard there is a register hack on the Windows 2003 system so that it will recognized. I have not made this change, I am also not sure if this is documented.
Also on the DELL/Wyse drivers page there are 2 different drivers for a SCR3310 card reader with no documentation.

Does anyone knew if either one of these is preferred?
Thanks in advance

Try upgrading your firmware to the current release b674.
