S90 Unable to to set Static IP - ANSWERED
S90 Unable to to set Static IP - ANSWERED
Newbie question...
Brand new to this. Trying to set a static IP on my new S90. I watched @ bootup and it is DHCP. It looks like the Realtek network driver does its thing before Windows loads so setting it in Windows appears to be pointless. I need this to boot up with a Static IP for reliable operation in my system. Using it for data acquisition in an industrial control system. I am primarily an electrical engineer trying to get this all running reliably.
Is there a utility for this?
Your kind advice well received.

Thanks. Did that and it worked just fine. Going through a learning curve here. I am getting better at remembering to turn the dogone write filter and later turn it back on.

BuffaloBill,
Try login in as the Administrator
Disable the Write Filter
Make your Network Connection changes to the static ip
Enable the right filter
That should take care of it.
